Nils Strinning

Nils "Nisse"Strinning (1917-2006) was a Swedish architect and designer, most notably famous for his String Bookshelf. A system which he designed with his wife Kalsa in 1949 for a contest organised by the Bonnier Public Library. He studied architecture in the 1940's at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. He received the gold medal in 1954 at triennale, Milan amongst many other awards and accolades.
