The Top3 by Design Penthouse Party held last Wednesday, the 19th of March, at Oasis Residences in South Melbourne, was a standout celebration of design, community, and creativity. Hosted by the wonderful Tanya Buchanan, (Editor-in-Chief, Belle Magazine) the afternoon brought together an incredible crowd from the design world — and we’re still buzzing from the energy!
The event was held in celebration of The German Masters Collective — a curated showcase of Germany’s most iconic and innovative furniture design. Every piece featured throughout the two penthouses was hand-selected from this exceptional collection, reflecting the timeless craftsmanship and modern elegance that define German design excellence.
Guests were treated to rooftop cocktails and a live DJ under glorious sunshine, poolside with sweeping views of the city. The atmosphere was vibrant and relaxed, setting the perfect tone for what followed: the much-anticipated reveal of two stunning penthouses, styled by Terri Winter and the talented top3 by design team.
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us — your presence made the day truly special. It was a privilege to celebrate great design with such a passionate and inspiring community.
A huge thank you to Lavender and Holder East for trusting us with this very special project — we are absolutely delighted with the outcome and thrilled with the overwhelming, wonderful feedback.

Thank you to Bernd, my husband and partner in crime :) It has been a busy few weeks in preparation and could not have done it without him! (Little secret: the outfit Bernd was wearing on the night is exactly what he wore on our wedding day - true story! x)

"With high ceilings, all-white marble benches, and expansive windows flooding the penthouses with light, it was important to me to create small, intimate "occasions" throughout the space — thoughtful nooks where one could retreat, pause, and escape." - Terri Winter, top3 by design

All the furniture pieces throughout both apartments are proudly German, showcasing the craftsmanship of The German Masters Collective. Complementing this foundation, accessories sourced from around the globe add layers of personality and warmth. My love for Missoni is woven through every space — with their iconic bedding and striking accessories infusing vibrant colour and bold pattern throughout.

The decadent marble bathrooms in the Oasis Residences penthouses bring a luxurious, hotel-like experience into the home. A standout detail is the feature stool by Melbourne designer Nick Kosahov of Studio Nikco — a subtle Australian addition to an otherwise exclusively German furniture collection!

|
The refined 383 Armchair and footstool by designer Joachim Nees for Rolf Benz creates a serene and inviting corner — the perfect spot to sit back and take in the sweeping views across the city.

The enclosed patios of the Oasis Residences penthouses offer the serenity of an outdoor sanctuary, all while keeping the city’s noise and bustle at bay — a peaceful escape above it all. Taking centre stage in Apartment 1804 is the striking Trilope Table by Draenert, paired with the sculptural Leyasol outdoor chair by Hoffmann Kahleyss for Freifrau.

My personal favourite is the innovative low dining concept by Janua and Freifrau invites relaxed, lingering meals with family and friends — all within the comfort of the living room. Polished steel accents add a refined contrast, subtly elevating the earthy palette with a touch of decadence.
The Mia Sofa by Ilja Huber, paired with the Janua Basket Low Dining Table and Freifrau Marla Armchairs (in shorter, low dining version), forms the heart of the low dining setting. Upholstered in a decadent khaki green Nobilis Raphael fabric, the sofa beautifully complements the soft taupe Chou Chou and the striking “Earth Blue” natural stone surface of the Basket table. Together, they create a space that’s not just visually stunning, but deeply tactile — the penthouses are a sensory journey through textures and materials that invite you to reach out and touch.
Accessories: Piet Hein Candelabra, Greg Natale Rope Bowl, Lind DNA Table Mat and Krof Cutlery. In the back is the re-chargeable Sway Lamp by Australian designer, Nick Rennie for Pen.

The master bedroom in Apartment 1803 embraces a cool blue-toned palette, layered with rich patterns and inviting textures. The Rose Bed by Moeller Design features an adjustable upholstered backrest, offering both comfort and style. Its velvety Chord fabric adds depth and warmth, playfully paired with signature Missoni patterns. the look is perfectly finished with the characterful Eddy Marble Table Lamp from Normann Copenhagen resting atop the Janua SC54 side table. Missoni Parrot Ottoman and Muuto Relevo Rug.
|
The Leya Lounge by Hoffmann Kahleyss for Freifrau offers the opportunity to gaze out over the city or be part of the conversation in the room with a swivel base. Circus Pouf from Normann Copenhagen and the Akari 10A Foor Lamp from Vitra

I especially love this patio space at night — with stunning views over Albert Park and the twinkling lights of the city, it becomes a magical retreat. The deep charcoal Leya Lounge Chairs in new Sunbrella fabric colour "Lopi Baribal" paired with lush greenery and gentle, ambient lighting, create an incredibly cosy and inviting escape
And yes — these incredible Oasis Residences Penthouse Apartments are for sale, with the full furniture package included!

We gathered in the golden glow of Melbourne’s evening sunshine — incredibly lucky with clear skies, especially with rain arriving the very next day!
