EVEN WITH 23 YEARS OF DESIGN CURATION under her belt, Terri Winter still does a little happy dance every time a new shipment of products arrives at her company's warehouse in Sydney.
The design-loving entrepreneur and founder of Top3 by Design has built a reputation for sourcing quality gifts, accessories, objects and furniture - many of them from Europe - to enhance everyday life. In particular, Scandinavian brands Audo Copenhagen, Muuto and Normann Copenhagen have become firm customer favourites, thanks to their timeless design and functionality.
So, imagine Terri's excitement recently when a new shipment arrived from Germany. Comprising high-end furniture pieces from some of Europe's most lauded design houses, it marked the beginning of a new "German Masters" range that will sit alongside Top3 by Design's existing collection and add yet another string to the beloved brand's bow.

"We've noticed a growing demand for luxurious statement pieces," says Terri. "In answer, we discovered three exceptional German brands: Freifrau, Janua and Möller Design. Their impeccable craftsmanship and distinctive style offer a premium option for our discerning clients while enhancing the variety and depth of our design portfolio."

While still considered relative newcomers in the world of furniture design, Freifrau + Janua and Möller Design have built up an impressive portfolio of intuitive, individualised and sustainable items, and are making a compelling mark on the design scene.

"Freifrau's low dining concept pairs the cosy 'Mia' sofa with one of Janua's adjustable dining tables, offering a seamless fusion of lounging and dining," Terri explains.
"This innovative approach not only enhances relaxation but optimises space - a game-changer for urban living. Customers have embraced the 'life-proof' durability of these designs."

Adding breadth to the collection are esteemed heritage brands Rolf Benz and Draenert. The exquisitely crafted sofas of Rolf Benz have long been a staple in many of Europe's finest hotels and homes, while the folding and revolving stone tables of Draenert are an impressive feat of engineering.

While all of the collection can be viewed online, Terri says it's best experienced in person, at either of the Top3 by Design showrooms in Sydney and Melbourne.
"It's such a joy to see the reactions when we demonstrate pieces like the Rolf Benz 'Mera' sofa, invite customers to relax in a Freifrau swing seat or showcase the ease of moving a 300-kilogram Draenert natural stone table with just two fingers," she says.

"Hearing customers exclaim, 'Wow, I've never seen anything like that!' perfectly encapsulates the excitement that these designs bring."

"We've also added Decor Walther, Germany's finest bathroom accessories brand, and Bordbar, an innovative Cologne-based range of new and upcycled aircraft trolleys," adds Terri.
