The leather strap at the top is a lovely decorative detail. The leather strap is not designed to hang the mirror. If leaning against the wall the mirror can be secured to the wall with clips on the back to avoid it falling or can be hung with a steel wire on the back -  much like a painting. Vertical hang only. It cannot be hung horizontally.
