Today the company is managed by Maiken Walther and Henry Walther. Both are creatively and strategically responsible for the company and involved in all operations. From product development and manufacturing to marketing, sales, and communication. They make important decisions together – freely and independently of external capital and investors.

Behind the brand
Almost five decades ago, Décor Walther was founded when Harald Walther opened a small specialty store in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. That was in 1973. At the time, they had no set philosophy that would one day profoundly change their concept of luxury.
There was, however, a clear vision for the type and nature of the products they wanted to offer. They should be timelessly beautiful, high quality, and long lasting.
Today they are one of the leading suppliers in this sector, reaching far beyond Germany’s borders.

For the development and manufacturing of their product ideas, they select the top experts of each field, depending on the material, be it metal, glass, porcelain or wood. The resulting products reflect this. Individual production processes make all the difference.
Their metal products, for example, are made mainly of brass. They are soldered, polished, galvanised and assembled by hand. This kind of manual production is very complex. The barely visible deviations that are characteristic of individual craftsmanship make all the difference. They are their discreet trademark, so to speak.

OF.LINE SERIES by Sebastian Herkner combines innovatively crafted solid aluminium with handmade porcelain. The collection was created as a homage to the city of Offenbach in Germany.

In Offenbach, they all know each other, especially within the design community. It was only a matter of time before they teamed up with local designer Sebastian Herkner, whose studio is just a few hundred meters from the headquarters at Decor Walther.

The charismatic structure of the aluminium elements, with architectural inspiration from buildings like Marina City in Chicago, lends the collection a special feel, creating a subtle interplay of light and shadow. The aluminium components are manufactured with innovative technology, while the porcelain elements are created using traditional Bavarian artisanship. The final assembly takes place at the Decor Walther headquarters in Offenbach.
