I am so excited to share this revolutionary all natural wood colouring process with you. A lot of words I know, but honestly this is the best news for any designer that loves colour in furniture.
Janua has developed a new, innovative wood surface together with Schotten & Hansen. The collection combines Janua's expressive design with Schotten & Hansen's expertise in wood colour finishing. The colour scheme based on the NCS system is a revolution for the furniture industry.
Natural pigments are infused deep into the wood grain, creating gentle, enduring hues without lacquer. The result: Real timber that is as beautiful as it is resilient, tough enough to walk on and naturally resistant for life.
Be among the first to experience these all-natural finishes; subtle, sophisticated shades from rose to soft turquoise, each retaining the warmth and authenticity of genuine timber.
Using the NCS colour system, with two curated colour fans and 110 possibilities in Terra and Mineral palettes (graded in five intensities), designers can achieve the perfect nuance for any project. This revolutionary, chemical-free process from Schotten & Hansen allows Janua’s timber furniture, whether a table, bench, coffee table, or sideboard, to harmonise seamlessly with natural stone, fabrics, flooring, wall finishes, and other architectural elements.
The innovation continues in the finish: an emulsion of natural resins, waxes, and oils penetrates and protects the wood. Totally naturally resistant protection
An emulsion of natural resins, waxes, and oils protects the wood. Natural pigments that have been used since Roman times, including those used in cave paintings. This natural protection not only withstands normal wear and tear in private rooms, such as living or sleeping areas, but also prevents the wood surface from being sensitive to moisture. This is why it also works wonderfully in bathrooms, spas, and wellness areas, and yacht interiors.

We use the NCS system to create harmonious colour combinations. A colour system like NCS, which is based on colour perception, can find harmonious colour combinations that bring a certain order to the infinite number of possible colour combinations.
