When the bedroom becomes a retreat, the bed becomes so much more than a place to sleep. Moeller Design beds bring together comfort, proportion and quiet sculptural beauty. In this edit we focus on three beautifully resolved designs, Liv, Rose and Alva, each with its own distinct character, but all sharing the same sense of softness, calm and considered detail. ALVA celebrates the art of beautiful design.
Discreet, sustainable and perfectly formed, this is how Hoffmann Kahleyss impresses us with their newest designs. A sleek and finely crafted wooden frame in oak or walnut and the softly upholstered cushions invite one to relax and unwind.
ALVA’s significant design feature is the triangle, which is formed due to the connection between the sides of the bed and the raised hind leg.

The Rose bed features softly padded, adjustable backrests that let you sit upright for reading or recline for relaxation. Its concealed legs create a floating effect, while removable upholstery and covers make care effortless.
The adjustable upholstered bedhead makes the Liv bed feel like an oasis of your own design. You can position it to suit the moment, whether you are reading, relaxing, working, or watching a movie in bed. I especially love this detail because it feels like having your own private Gold Class seat at home, soft, supportive and perfectly angled just for you.

Hoffmann Kahleyss are honestly one of my favourite design duos in the world. There is something so beautifully resolved about their work. It is elegant, soft, functional and always a little bit sculptural, without ever feeling over-designed.
At top3, we are lucky to represent so many pieces shaped by their talent, from the much-loved Leya + Marie collections for Freifrau to beautifully considered Möller Design beds including Liv and Alva, as well as the Basket Series, Stomp Tables and the incredible T-Rox collection for German brand Janua.
Their work has this rare ability to feel both refined and deeply comfortable. Pieces you notice, pieces you admire, but most importantly, pieces you want to live with every day. That balance of beauty, softness and purpose is what makes Hoffmann Kahleyss so special to me.

The Liv bed by Moeller Design is beautifully calm, soft and refined. Made in Germany and designed by Hoffmann Kahleyss, Liv combines a solid oak frame with a thick, strong “sling” of leather that cradles the upholstered cushions to form the bedhead. I love this detail. It gives the bed such a beautiful sense of craftsmanship, warmth and structure, while still feeling soft and inviting. The gentle proportions and layered materials make Liv feel quietly sculptural, creating a bed that anchors the room and turns the bedroom into a true retreat.

On all our Australian King and Queen size Moeller Design beds, we include the adjustable comfort timber slat system, which is next level. It allows for individual left and right side adjustment, as well as five mattress height options within the bedframe.
