An exploration of biomorphic design, the Pietra Collection is inspired by the contrast between organic forms and man-made geometry within modern design and architecture. Comprised of three original designs, Pietra, Lily, and Pila, this collection showcases objects inspired by naturally occurring shapes and textures common to Australian coastlines.

The impetus behind the collection is to introduce biomorphic language to the Greg Natale product line. This has manifested in the materiality and the elusive sculptural element inherent to Pietra. The process began with hand-building clay forms, as the act of shaping the material introduces both intention and unpredictability to the collection. This tactile engagement with the material became the basis of much of the collection. The aim was to incorporate design that feels sculpted by time and the elements.
