Daimon Downey (designer)

Daimon Downey is no stranger to transformation. Based in the vibrant creative community of Bondi Beach, he’s carved out a distinctive career that spans music, fine art, and design. Many first knew him as the exuberant frontman of Australian electro-pop group Sneaky Sound System, before he pivoted into the world of visual art and homewares.

In recent years, his collaboration with cult-favourite brand In The Roundhouse saw him design a highly coveted collection of seafood- and Italian-inspired plates and serving ware, pieces that now adorn the tables and kitchens of tastemakers across the globe.

He has also made a mark on Sydney’s hospitality scene, painting large-scale murals, paintings and sculptures for some of the city’s most iconic dining institutions including Icebergs, Tanuki and Matteo. Each project speaks to his intuitive understanding of how art can transform a space, and spark delight. Whether it’s a ceramic octopus platter or a resin-splashed canvas, Downey’s work invites people to find joy, colour, and whimsy in the everyday. That same philosophy is at the core of his collaboration with Blunt.
