Exploring the interplay of pattern and colour, Canopy is a bold in scale and versatile in use. The Chilewich design team developed this double weave with an eye to how its precisely engineered repeat of petal-like forms in multi-tonal hues would play out when multiplied vertically and horizontally across the surface of rugs. The result is geometric in character, as lines and curves align to create a lively yet refined foundation for contemporary life.

Made from woven textiles, the floor mats are durable, versatile, beautiful and easy to clean. Perfect for use in entryways, dining areas, bedrooms, living areas and kitchens.

Phthalate-free TerraStrand yarns and synthetic latex; rug contains a minimum of 18% recycled content and a minimum of 8% rapidly renewable content.

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Care
Occasionally lift and air out your rug, which allows it, and the surface on which it sits, to ventilate and stay dry.
When moving or storing, roll up your rug with the woven surface facing outwards and tie loosely. In case of creasing, steam using a handheld garment steamer on the lowest heat setting.

Cleaning is easy.
- To remove loose dirt and debris, sweep, vacuum, or shake out.
- In case of spills, blot quickly with a damp, lint-free cloth. Persistent stains may be treated with spot cleaner and wiped with a cloth. If needed, follow with a residential carpet cleaner or mop the surface.
- After cleaning, lift your rug and clean the floor. Allow both the rug and floor to dry completely before replacing.
- Do not clean with acetone, Pine-Sol, or citrus-based cleaning agents, as they can cause degradation and/or discolouration.
- Do not machine wash or iron.

Chilewich is a design-led textile brand that brings together material innovation, craftsmanship, and modern sensibility. Known globally for its distinctive woven surfaces, the company transforms high-performance materials into refined, enduring pieces for the home and beyond.

Founded by Sandy Chilewich, the brand operates from its New York studio, where experimentation and technical development sit at the core of the design process. Chilewich has built its reputation on rethinking what textiles can be, elevating utilitarian materials into objects that are both practical and quietly expressive.

At the centre of the collection is the brand’s signature woven vinyl. Engineered for durability yet defined by subtle texture and considered colour, it reflects a balance of performance and aesthetics. The result is a range of products that are easy to maintain, resilient in daily use, and designed to retain their integrity over time.

Chilewich approaches design with clarity and restraint. Each pattern and palette is developed to complement a space rather than dominate it, offering a foundation that feels contemporary yet timeless. From tabletop pieces to floor coverings and architectural applications, the work is unified by a consistent commitment to simplicity and precision.

Sustainability is an ongoing priority. The company continues to refine its manufacturing processes, focusing on responsible material use, reduced waste, and long product life cycles.

Through a considered approach to material, function, and form, Chilewich has established itself as a leader in modern textile design, creating products that integrate seamlessly into everyday living while elevating the spaces they inhabit.

Sandy Chilewich has a unique and personal design aesthetic that revolutionised two distinct industries and, indeed, the modern design world. She is a true entrepreneur and a leader in the business of design, having taken the style conscious consumer from legwear to tableware - quite a leap, but the translation appears effortless.

One of the highlights of her design career is the Raybowl - introduced in 1997, the bowls are made from netting (usually found in lingerie). The bowl uses a simple yet highly inventive mechanism to transform the fabric into a concave shape. In this same experimenting vein Sandy looked at Vinyl - commonly considered to be an industrial material - and saw the possibility for placemats, flooring, fashion accessories and more. Through combining style with the durability inherent in these materials Sandy has opened up a world of possibilities! Sandy continues to seek new uses for existing textiles and weaves, working out of a New York City studio.
