Wanda Jelmini spent 35 years as head textile designer at Missoni Home in Milan - niece to matriarch Rosita Missoni, and instrumental in its global reach.⁠

They met in 2002 and have never stopped talking about textiles since. Passionate, exacting, and bound by a shared belief that the history of craft, and the hands that carry it forward, are worth protecting.⁠

That's where Innate Collection comes from.⁠

AUSTRALIAN ARTIST: Luke Sciberras

The first three Innate Textile collections are inspired by artworks of prominent Australian painter, Luke Sciberras. His visceral response to the textures, colours, light and forms of the Australian landscape provided the muse for Wanda and Fiona to develop the woven stories that are the Territory, Ilford and Bilpin collections.

‘To make an impression, a gesture or a glimpse of a memory is one of our most universal and natural instincts. The impulse to tell a story or more strongly, to share is the urge to embed a place or circumstance with the human condition. Painting and drawing is, to me, the very essence of all these expressions.’
