Good wine deserves a beautiful glass and these contemporary white wine glasses in lead-free crystal are the perfect choice. The eye-catching soft grooves not only echo Art Deco detailing but they also allow the glasses to be held firmly, even when the chilled white wine causes condensation on the outside. Form and function combined is a true sign of great Scandinavian design!
Sigvard Bernadotte was the son of the Swedish king but carved out a career as one of Georg Jensen’s first design collaborators. Greatly influenced by the functionalist movement, he is credited for leading the house from highly decorated Art Nouveau styling to a more streamlined aesthetic. His influence can be still seen today and is the inspiration behind the Bernadotte tableware collection.
The white wine glasses come in sets of six and are made of lead-free crystal.

An unparalleled sense of craftsmanship has distinguished Georg Jensen since its founding in 1904. What began as a small silversmithy in Copenhagen has evolved into a renowned global design house with a 120-year legacy of bold design, participating in some of the greatest design movements of the past century.
Bringing together pieces created in collaboration with some of the greatest designers from Denmark and beyond, their home collection reflects Georg Jensen’s enduring commitment to bold, innovative design. Each object showcases their longstanding approach to craftsmanship and creativity, honed over the past century.

This influenced Bernadotte’s own style and he incorporated the ideals of functional elegance into his design thenceforth. Shortly afterwards, Prince Sigvard Bernadotte and Georg Jensen began a long and fruitful cooperation, in which the new functionalism was at the centre of a more modern interpretation of the work of silver.
The prince’s long affiliation with Georg Jensen represents another chapter in the rich history of Scandinavian design. His Bernadotte collection has been and continues to be a favourite for generations.
