Plateau is a dining table or a workspace, or indeed at home - both. The Plateau table was designed to provide a large multi-use surface. A sweeping clean surface ready for inspirational conversation over dinner with friends, homework with the kids or to provide an uncluttered work environment.
The angled legs have minimal impact on surrounding chairs and allow the plateau surface to float in the room.
Legs are solid American Oak with American Oak in natural or black finish veneer table top providing a robust surface for use in daily life.
Plateau is beautifully flat pack designed.
Timber Veneer is often a misunderstood, and mistaken for laminating or cheap plastic veneer. A real timber veneered surface is made up of a number of timber sheets pressed together to provide a durable, long-lasting surface. The veneer process also provides consistency of the oak grain on a surface.
Veneer is not subject to changes in temperature and humidity that can crack and warp solid timber surfaces. This enables commercial grade longevity of your surface. A veneer surface required little to no maintenance as opposed to a solid wood surface which will require regular oiling or varnishing.
The use of veneer also has sustainability advantages in that a table surface made with wood veneer uses less wood than the same piece made with solid wood.

Following this success he received numerous awards including Wallpaper magazines ‘Best Young Designer’.
In search of new horizons, Marcel received a residency grant from the Australian Council for the Arts, moving shortly to Milan to immerse himself into international design culture. In 2007 he moved to London where he worked with both Artek design studio, and until 2011 was Senior Designer at Tom Dixon.
‘marcel sigel studio’ was established in early 2012 from a desire for personal expression in his work and is founded on the notion that design should be impassioned, provoking the emotions, feelings and behaviour of those who come into contact with it. His designs can be characterised as idiosyncratic and fresh. On one side is the understated and disguised, on the other, the bright and noticeable, alluding to both the hidden and visible strength of an object.
The studio is currently based between London and Sydney, working with leading international clients, including; Nemo Cassina (Italy), Capdell (Spain), Asplund (Sweden), Resident (New Zealand), GoHome (Australia), Bombay Sapphire (Uk), Royal Selangor (Malaysia), Peace & Sport (Monaco).
