RO [’ruː] Scandinavian for ‘tranquility’
Peace, calm and tranquility from the kingdoms of Norway, Sweden and Denmark. A small word with great meaning shared by all three Scandinavian languages.
Scent notes: cut grass and fallen leaves, cucumber and wild violets.
Ingredients: Renewably farmed vegetable oils with essential oils and natural safe synthetic fragrances plus 8 reeds.
Materials: Partially-recycled and dishwasher-proof glass produced in the EU with metals-free water dyes. FSC-certified beechwood decoration ring and packaging card from managed Swedish forests with natural colour dyes.
How to use: Simply put the reeds in the diffuser - the more reeds, the stronger the scent. Allow a few days for the scent to start diffusing. No need to flip the reeds. Refill once finished, or reuse as a vase for wildflowers. Change the reeds when replacing the liquid.
Skandinavisk was started by a curious English chap, Shaun, who fell in love with a blonde Scandinavian gardener and never left. He was joined by a second English emigrant, Gerry, who shared his love for Scandinavia and a Danish designer, Line, who captured their combined experiences and translated it all into our distinctive design DNA.
Founded in Copenhagen in 2012, their home and body fragrance collections are designed to reflect the Scandinavian art of balance. With nature, within society, of the self. But living ’Scandinavian’ is not just which part of the world you come from, it’s how you think, how you treat others and the nature that surrounds you, and what you treasure. They believe a more balanced Scandinavian approach to life offers a blueprint for a better future in a world that’s forgetting how to listen to quieter voices.
They have always been inspired by the Scandinavian design tradition – of function over form, of minimal aesthetics, and of responsible sourcing and production practices.
