Rachel Bowak (designer)

Designer Rachel Bowak describes her design practice: 'I predominately work with steel using construction, forging and forming processes. The conceptual basis of my work often relate to the Australian landscape. I am interested in the dialogue we create with landscape and domestic space as we continue to inhabit and form the land, and, it in turn inhabits and forms us.

I am intrigued by our relationship to land and built environments and how they shape our individual and collective realities and inwardly inform our personal psychological space.

I work with notions of balance and paradox and their relationship to meaning and mystery experienced in the human condition.'
