Beaverhausen (designer)

Beaverhausen is a self-taught design studio founded by Mimy A. Diar and Ad Luijten, based in Brussels. Both designers have a background as Art Directors in advertising, which shines through in the strong sense of storytelling that recurs in all of their design projects.
Beaverhausen describe their designs as visual stories manifested in furniture, accessories, lighting and interiors. Inspiration is found in their surroundings, especially in the beautiful and electric city of Brussels where they also live.

“The Dutch word for designer is ‘vormgever’, which literally means ‘form giver’. For us that’s a good way of looking at design. Every day we are interacting with objects that all have been given a form by someone. What we especially like are the objects that communicate their function clearly through their form and on top of that have lots of personality.” says the designers.
