NATURAL STONE is ideally suited as a material for outdoor use. Its originality and robustness are what give it its colourful radiance and longevity.
Based on the history of the formation of the stones, we divide the different stone types according to their outdoor suitability. All hard rocks are ideally suited for outdoor use, as they are extremely robust, frost-resistant and resistant to all weather influences. Soft rocks, on the other hand, have to be considered in a more differentiated way.

CARRARA MARBLE STONE
Petrography
White-grey marble with a grain size of 0.5 mm. Graphite deposits run through the stone in the form of grey veins, dots and clouds. Due to its homogeneity and crystal structure, this natural stone is very easy to polish. Small crater-like pores (tarolli) are possible in the polished surface, open gas bubbles that run through the entire stone structure. Fine fault cracks are also part of the appearance. In the Apuan Mountains around Carrara, marble types of different degrees of brightness and structure are mined in over 1000 quarries. 

Petrogenesis
Carrara marble was formed by metamorphosis from limestone with inclusions of organic components (dead animals and plant remains). Tectonic movements of the earth's crust caused the limestone massif to reach greater depths and, under the influence of pressure and temperature, recrystallised into marble over the course of millions of years.

ROBINIA WOOD is a native hardwood and, thanks to its high bulk density, it is one of the heaviest and hardest types of wood in Central Europe. Robinia is ideally suited for outdoor use, which places high demands on hardness, strength and natural durability.

The close-up view of each stone type shows a relatively true image of the crystalline structure and the colouring. This is suitable for grained slabs to a limited extend only. In regard to the colour matching, please take an original sample of the stone from your furniture store as a basis.
